Occupant with Autism Program

The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) is committed to a high level of protection and service for all of our residents. The purpose of the Occupant with Autism program is to alert emergency responders that there is a person with autism in the home or vehicle.

MDPD is providing decals free of charge to anyone in the community who would like to place them near the front door of their home and the rear window of their vehicle while enabling our police officers to utilize their autism training to assist individuals who may not respond or comply with verbal commands.

If you would like to register for the program but do not wish to affix the decal to your home or vehicle, simply fill out the form below and request zero decals. This will allow MDPD to flag the address of the home registered in our dispatch system so arriving officers will be aware that a person with autism lives in the home.

If you have any questions, please call the MDPD Community Affairs Bureau at 305-471-1716 or email them at [email protected].
