After a disaster strikes, recovery and rebuilding can be overwhelming and difficult to manage. This resource page can help you and your family navigate all of the resources available through local, state, and federal governments to ensure our communities receive the resources necessary to recover.
Disaster Distress Helpline
Call 1-800-985-5990, 24/7, or text "talkwithus" to 66746 for English or "hablanos" to 66746 for Spanish. This multilingual hotline offers crisis counseling and support. The website also has information on coping tips and common symptoms and risk factors for emotional distress.

Call or visit 211.org for free and confidential information and referrals to community resources, including mental wellness care. This service is available 24/7.
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
Call or text 988, 24/7, to connect with the nearest crisis center in the Lifeline network. These centers provide crisis counseling and mental health referrals.
Helplines for Assistance
The Florida Department of Children and Families launched the Family Support Line, which connects individuals and families who were impacted by Hurricane Ian with peers who were impacted and have recovered from Hurricane Michael. Family Support Line: 888-850-SWFL.
DCF has also created a First Responder Support Line (407-823-1657) that all first responders throughout Hurricane Ian impacted areas can contact. This line combines current resources into a single point of contact that will connect first responders with mental health professionals.
