Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation's Office Internships

• Internship dates: Jan. 5 – April 25, 2026
• Schedule: To be Determined by FIU and the student (10–40 hours per week)
• Compensation: Unpaid (college credit may be available through your institution)

Program Overview

This internship provides undergraduate students with hands-on experience in a large metropolitan corrections system. Interns may rotate through multiple divisions and units, gaining real-world exposure while working alongside professionals.

• Sealed official college transcripts
• Copy of driver’s license and student ID
• Criminal background check from your local police department or sheriff’s office
• Letter of recommendation or internship placement documents from your school’s internship coordinator or faculty advisor
