Golden Glades Multimodal Transportation Facility

The new Golden Glades Multimodal Transportation Facility opened for service on Monday, January 24, 2022, and it is now servicing an express and several local Metrobus routes as well as various modes of transportation including Broward County Transit (BCT) and Tri-Rail.

Located in north Miami-Dade, the new Golden Glades facility provides connectivity between various transportation modes, increases transfer efficiency, as well as accessibility, capacity, safety, and security for commuters.

The facility also improves the overall aesthetics of the park & Ride area while making it more visible from the surrounding roadways.

Miami-Dade Metrobus routes servicing the Golden Glades Multimodal Transportation Facility:
These routes which were serving the East Lot bus stop during construction will be rerouted to the new facility, located across on the west side of NW 7 Ave. Route service frequencies remain the same.
The following are some of the amenities and new key features available at the Multimodal Transportation Facility.
- 2,150 parking spaces
- Electric vehicle charging stations
- 4,500 square foot transit hub
- 10,450 square foot retail space
- New designated passenger waiting areas
- Direct access to Tri-Rail Station from new parking garage
- New bicycle paths, sidewalks, walkways, and platforms
- Bicycle parking and lockers
- New multi-bay bus terminals
- InterCity Bus Hub
The facility provides access to the following transportation modes:
- Miami-Dade Transit (MDT) express and local bus routes
- Broward County Transit (BCT) express and local bus routes
- South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) commuter trains/Tri-Rail
- Intercity buses
- Carpool commuters
- Taxicabs and ride-share services
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), in partnership with Miami-Dade County, began the facility’s construction in December 2018. Now completed, the Golden Glades Facility will be maintained by Miami-Dade County.

The total construction cost was $60 million funded by FDOT.

In the fall of 2021, the Cuban American Association of Civil Engineers honored the Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) and FDOT with a special community impact award for the construction of the Golden Glades Multimodal Transportation Facility.
