Through the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza Station Site Development Study, the department will advance a site development plan for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza Metrorail Station.

The final site development plan will evaluate transit infrastructure, public spaces, and mixed-use residential development to produce a preferred vision for the redevelopment of the demolished parking garage on the county’s property. This redevelopment will serve as a catalyst for the surrounding area.

By incorporating community feedback and innovative design principles, the project seeks to create a transit hub that facilitates efficient transportation and serves as a vibrant, inclusive space for social and economic activities.

Community Outreach Activities

We encourage you to actively participate by sharing your comments and feedback throughout the duration of this study. Your insights and suggestions are invaluable in ensuring that the study reflects and addresses the community's needs and aspirations.

Your voice is critical to this collaborative effort, whether through attending meetings, submitting ideas online, or engaging in discussions with our team. Together, we can create a space that serves as a transit hub and a vibrant and inclusive center for community growth and connection.

Surveys and Feedback

Community residents, partners and business owners will have opportunities to provide feedback by filling out a survey online, filling out and mailing a survey card or comment card (coming soon), and by emailing comments to the community outreach team.

To receive notifications by email, send a request to the outreach team at [email protected].
