SMART Curbs Community Engagement

The SMART Curbs Program brings members of the Miami-Dade County community into the conversation. Our project partners, Urban Health Partnerships (UHP), are leading the community engagement efforts by connecting with those community members most impacted by the SMART Curbs Program.

UHP has assembled a team of Miami-Dade County Community Liaisons to develop engagement activities that encourage meaningful public input through accessible and locally relevant outreach efforts.

Priorities

  • Build trust and buy-in from residents and businesses
  • Train community members to serve as Community Liaisons (CLs)
  • Host community conversations for public input
Planned Outcomes
  • Increased community involvement and understanding of the project
  • Localized solutions that reflect the needs of communities impacted by Downtown delivery activities
  • Creation of jobs through Community Liaison roles and identification of new project-related job opportunities
Key Information for the Public
  • This project is uniquely committed to co-designing solutions with the community, focusing on sustainable urban development that benefits everyone. Meet the Community Liaisons and learn how they bridge the gap between Miami-Dade County project staff and community members.
