Storage Tank System Removal Permit

The Storage Tank System Removal Permit application is used to notify the department of the removal of an aboveground or underground storage tank. It is needed to ensure proper closure of regulated storage tanks.

The proper abandonment of storage tanks requires plans to be submitted and approved by the department prior to abandonment.

How to Apply

  • A permit from the Fire Department within the jurisdiction of the facility may be required.

Depending on your situation, you may need one or more of the above-mentioned permits. Additionally, there may be instances when a permit that is not listed here is required. We encourage you to call 305-372-6600 to discuss your particular case or to receive additional information.
