Policy Council

The Policy Council considers the County’s state and federal legislative priorities as well as specific topics and items of significance at the Chair’s discretion, such as issues relating to: the transition to the newly-elected constitutional officers; and, proposed amendments to the County’s Home Rule Charter. It is essential that this Board prioritize the legislative issues of the County, establish mutually beneficial relationships with State and federal legislators, and aggressively pursue legislative priorities that are approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
