Open Enrollment

Participation in the 2026 Open Enrollment is very important. Effective January 1, 2026, Aetna will be the County’s new medical insurance carrier! Review the Summary of Benefits and Coverage for each of the new Aetna plans.Under the new medical plans, you will have access to the same covered services as you have today, and medical premiums will remain the same! In addition, we are pleased to announce other plan enhancements for 2026 under the Vision, Legal Insurance and Optional Life Insurance plans. Information about Open Enrollment, the plan enhancements for 2026, and other benefit plan information can be found in the new 2026 Benefits Open Enrollment Guide and the new 2026 Benefits Highlights Guide.

Attend the In-Person Benefit Fairs and virtual benefits information sessions to meet and talk with plan providers and learn more about your benefits during the Open Enrollment period.

The People and Internal Operations Department ensures efficient County operations and fosters a thriving workforce by integrating internal services and human resources management. The department provides facility, construction, fleet, and risk management, along with ADA compliance, real estate, security, and parking services.

It supports workforce development through performance management, employee training, diversity programs, and collective bargaining, while addressing workplace policies, payroll, and workforce metrics. Additionally, the department resolves discrimination cases through investigation and mediation. Serving County departments, employees, and the community, it is committed to operational excellence and an equitable workplace.
