Project Green Light Miami-Dade
Project Green Light Miami-Dade (PGLMD) is a ground-breaking partnership between local business owners and the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD). As part of Mayor Daniella Levine Cava’s milestone Peace & Prosperity Plan, PGLMD focuses on improving public safety and strengthening local businesses through an innovative, collaborative approach.
Partners provide MDPD’s Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC) with high-quality, consistent video streams through high-resolution cameras placed outside their storefronts. These camera feeds will utilize advanced video technology and actionable intelligence in real-time to assist MDPD's efforts to deter, identify, and solve crime, increasing overall public safety and revitalizing neighborhoods.
Project Greenlight Partners
PGLMD Partners should have ample exterior lighting and access to a high-speed internet connection to ensure clear video streams with distinct images at all hours. Partners will be asked to install a flashing green light and a PGLMD sign that signifies to community members that they are a PGLMD participant.
The PGLMD grant program is available for eligible businesses that cannot cover the full cost of required equipment and installation. Grants awards are subject to both eligibility and availability of funds.
