Limousine Service License

Miami-Dade County regulates for-hire limousines on a countywide basis under Chapter 31, Article VI of the County Code. Limousines are not equipped with meters and are dispatched from one central business location. Service must be pre-arranged which means; a written, electronic or telephone reservation made in advance by the person requesting service for the provision of limousine service.

Any person or business wishing to provide for-hire limousine transportation in Miami-Dade County must first obtain proper licenses for each limousine to be operated. Miami-Dade County offers various limousine license categories often used by the limousine industry which include luxury sedans, SUV’s, stretch, limo vans, ancient, antique, and collectible vehicles.

All vehicles placed into service must be inspected and operators must first obtain a chauffeur’s license prior to operating a for-hire hire limousine.
