Give the gift of water on Give Miami Day – Donate to WASD Cares

With the end of the year and holiday season quickly approaching, many of us tend to take stock and recount the year’s accomplishments and blessings.
One such thing to be grateful for is access to safe, reliable drinking water, which many of us have the luxury to take for granted. WASD Cares is a financial assistance program created so individuals can donate to a fund that will provide aid to qualified customers to pay their water and sewer utility bill.
“In honor of Give Miami Day, we can all find something to be thankful for,” said WASD Director Roy Coley. “If those who are able contributed to WASD Cares, it could go a long way to helping those in our community who are struggling right now find peace of mind. Your contribution will give the gift of water to a neighbor in need.”
Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department customers eligible for this program can receive up to $250 in assistance toward their bill once in a 12-month period. Through your financial contribution, it will give others a helping hand with their utility bill.
If each of WASD’s 2.4 million customers donated just 50 cents, WASD Cares would have more than $1 million in funding to support those families who need it most.
Currently, this program is in the donations phase only, so your generous contribution could help make it so eligible customers would start receiving assistance.
This program is managed by Miami-Dade County's Community Action and Human Services Department. For more information about the program and WASD Cares eligibility requirements, please visit the CAHSD website.
Thanks for your consideration and if you are able to, please donate today.
