Ride Metrorail, Metromover to Miami Marathon

Miami-Dade Transit will provide an easy and convenient way for runners and spectators to get to the 2026 Life Time Miami Marathon and Half on Sunday, Jan. 25.
Metrorail and Metromover service will begin early at 4 a.m. In addition, Metrorail garages and surface lots also will open at 4 a.m. and parking will be FREE all day for Miami-Dade Transit riders only.
Metrorail
On Sunday, Jan. 25, trains will depart from terminal stations -- Palmetto, Dadeland South, and Miami International Airport -- at 4 a.m. Metrorail will provide service with the following frequency:
- Trains from Dadeland South Metrorail station will depart every 15 minutes starting at 4 a.m.
- Trains from Palmetto Metrorail station will depart at 4 a.m., 4:17 a.m., and then every 30 minutes.
- Trains from Miami International Airport Metrorail station will depart at 4 a.m., 4:22 a.m., 4:46 a.m., and then every 30 minutes.
- Regular Sunday service will resume after 5pm.
Attendees can take Metrorail to Government Center Station. From there, transfer to Metromover Inner Loop (free of charge) and disembark at College/Bayside Metromover station.
Parking at Metrorail Stations
- Metrorail parking garages and surface lots will open at 4 a.m.
- Runners and spectators who park at any of the Metrorail garages or surface lots will receive complimentary parking for the duration of the day on Sunday, Jan. 25.
- Metrorail parking is available to Miami-Dade Transit customers only.
Metromover
Metromover will begin service at 4 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25. Metromover is free to ride.
Paying your Fare
Transit riders can purchase or reload an EASY Card in the Transit Store or the GO Miami Dade Transit App, Token Transit App, Citymapper, Transit App, Moovit, SoFloGo, or use contactless payments to pay fares.
Download the GO Miami Dade Transit App to plan your trip or track your ride in real-time or pay for your fare ahead of time and purchase a One-Day Mobile Pass ($5.65) or a One-Way Mobile Pass ($2.25 - pass will activate upon purchase) and scan at any fare gate equipped with a QR scanner.
Metrorail fare gates accept contactless payments, such as contactless-enabled debit, credit cards, and mobile wallets. Please note: contactless payments only work for bank cards issued in the U.S.
Riders can also pay for their fare at any Ticket Vending Machine (TVMs) located at all Metrorail stations and at select Transit Sales Outlets. Preloaded (pass product or stored value) EASY Cards and EASY Tickets are also accepted at the Metrorail fare gates.
