Miami-Dade County Housing and Community Development opens Site-Based waitlists for Project-Based Voucher program
Online application period: June 9 – June 20, 2025
Miami-Dade County Housing and Community Development (HCD) will open its Site-Based waitlists for Project-Based Voucher (PBV) program for affordable housing assistance starting Monday, June 9, 2025, at 8 a.m., through Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. The online application process will allow residents to apply for housing at multiple developments throughout the County.
Applications will be accepted online only at https://miamidadevoucher.myhousing.com and will be available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. Residents can apply using any internet-enabled device.
“This program is just one example of what Miami-Dade County is doing to ensure that every resident of Miami-Dade has access to safe, stable, and affordable housing,” said Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. “Access to affordable housing is essential for the well-being and stability of our residents, which is why we continue investing in innovative and inclusive housing solutions that respond to the needs of our diverse communities.”
Applicants on the 2024 Tenant-Based waiting list who applied during the Phase One opening of the site-based waitlists will receive priority placement. All eligible applicants who apply during this Phase Two window will be entered into a computer-generated randomization process. Placement on a waitlist is not guaranteed, and program eligibility—including income limits and specific property criteria—must be met.
“This is one of the most important access points for affordable housing in our County,” said Nathan Kogon, Interim Director of Housing and Community Development. “Our department is committed to making the process as accessible and equitable as possible for our residents. We encourage residents to apply early and reach out for support if they need help submitting their application.”
For those without access to internet or digital devices, assistance will be available at participating public libraries and Community Action and Human Services (CAHSD) locations across the county during business hours throughout the application window.
Important Details:
Only one application per household will be accepted.
Preferences apply to veterans, elderly, persons with disabilities, families displaced by government action, and others as detailed in the HCD Administrative Plan.
