Miami-Dade Transit Service 2025 New Year's Eve schedule
As 2025 draws to close, the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) wants to ensure transit riders and the community-at-large are aware of its schedule of services.
Wednesday, December 31, 2025
- Metrorail and Metromover will operate extended service until 2 a.m., Thursday, January 1, 2026, with Green and Orange Line trains running every 30 minutes.
- Metrobus and MetroConnect will operate on a regular weekday schedule.
Thursday, January 1, 2026
- Metrorail and Metromover will operate on a regular weekend schedule.
- Metrobus and MetroConnect will operate on a Sunday schedule.
For those attending celebrations in Downtown Miami on New Years Eve, the last northbound and southbound trains will depart from Government Center Station at approximately 2:00 a.m. Entry to Metrorail stations will not be permitted after 2 a.m., only exiting.
Parking facilities at Metrorail stations will remain open through the following day, Thursday, January 1, 2026, until 3 a.m.
Miami-Dade County offices will be closed, including all DTPWs administrative, Customer Service and Special Transportation (STS) offices, on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Special Transportation Services (STS) will not be impacted by this county-observed holiday and will run regular service. STS customers can call the STS reservation number (305) 871-1111 to reserve or cancel an STS trip.
Transit riders who prefer to access services online can purchase or reload an EASY Card in the Transit Store or the GO Miami-Dade Transit app, Token Transit app, Citymapper, Transit app, Moovit, SoFloGo, or use contactless payments to pay fares.
Customers can also submit a new application for a Golden Passport EASY Card on DTPW’s Golden Passport online page or report a lost item at Lost and Found.
