          Take Transit to the 2026 Life Time Marathon and Half Marathon

          Press Release department /global/transportation/home.page 2026-01-12 2026-01-12T20:00:00.000Z 03 00 pm Bobbie Carmona [email protected] Take Transit to the 2026 Life Time Marathon and Half Marathon On Sunday, January 25, Miami-Dade Transit will begin Metrorail and Metromover service at 4 a.m. <p>On&nbsp;<strong>Sunday, January 25,</strong> <a href="https://www.miamidade.gov/global/news-item.page?Mduid_news=news1738016429364244">Miami-Dade Transit </a>will begin&nbsp;Metrorail&nbsp;and&nbsp;Metromover&nbsp;service early to make it easier and more convenient for runners and spectators to reach downtown for the&nbsp;2026 Life Time Miami Marathon and Half Marathon.</p> <p>Metrorail and Metromover will begin operating at 4 a.m. In addition, Metrorail garages and surface lots also will open at 4 a.m. and parking will be free all day to transit riders.</p> <p><strong>Metrorail</strong></p> <p>On Sunday, January 25, trains will depart from terminal stations -- Palmetto, Dadeland South, and Miami International Airport -- at 4 a.m. Metrorail will provide service with the following frequency:</p> <ul> <li>Trains from Dadeland South Metrorail station will depart every 15 minutes starting at 4 a.m.</li> <li>Trains from Palmetto Metrorail station will depart at 4 a.m., 4:17 a.m., and then every 30 minutes.</li> <li>Trains from Miami International Airport Metrorail station will depart at 4 a.m., 4:22 a.m., 4:46 a.m., and then every 30 minutes.</li> <li>Regular Sunday service will resume after 5 a.m.</li> </ul> <p>Attendees can take <strong>Metrorail </strong>to <strong>Government Center Station</strong>. From there, transfer to the <strong>Metromover Inner Loop</strong> (free of charge) and disembark at <strong>College/Bayside Metromover</strong> <strong>Station.</strong></p> <p><strong>Parking at Metrorail Stations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Metrorail parking garages and surface lots will open at 4 a.m.</li> <li>Runners and spectators who park at any of the Metrorail garages or surface lots will receive complimentary parking for the duration of the day on Sunday, January, 25.</li> <li>Miami-Dade Transit parking garages are available for Metrorail and Metrobus customers only.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Metromover</strong></p> <p>Metromover will begin service at 4 a.m. on Sunday, January 25.           Metrorail and Metromover will begin operating at 4 a.m. In addition, Metrorail garages and surface lots also will open at 4 a.m. and parking will be free all day to transit riders.

          Metrorail
