Applications Now Open for Vice Chairman McGhee’s 2026 Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program

Vice Chairman Kionne L. McGhee invites District 9 small business owners to apply to the 2026 Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program and receive up to $5,000 in grant funding.

Applications can be downloaded on the County website or picked up at the Richmond Heights Business Development Hub, located at the Larcenia J. Ballard Plaza, 14508 Lincoln Blvd., Suite 210, Miami, FL 33176, starting from Monday, Sept. 21 through Friday, Oct. 2. Business owners applying for funding must own a small for-profit business that has been in operation for at least one year. All businesses must be located within Miami-Dade County’s District 9.

Grant funding can assist with the purchase of business-related expenses, such as:

• Inventory/Supplies
• Business Equipment
• Advertising
• Liability Insurance
• Minor/Interior/Exterior Work Renovations
• Security System

All business owners applying for funding are encouraged to attend the informational workshop via Zoom, on Wednesday, Sept. 30th at 6 p.m.

Completed applications must be hand-delivered in a sealed envelope at the Richmond Heights Business Development Hub from Oct. 5 through Oct. 9 by 4 p.m. No late applications will be accepted.
