Request a New Water Meter
The department performs new service installations for new and additional water meters upon request.
An application for new service request is required to install a water service line from an existing water main for the first time, as well as whenever the relocation of service is greater than five feet from the existing service.
The request may take 8 to 10 weeks. Installations on Florida Department of Transportation roads can take up to six months. You will need to complete a new account work form if no account exists.

Required information
- Full name, mailing address, contact phone numbers and email address, social security number or federal tax ID number.
- Property use
- Complete legal description
- Property survey signed and sealed, or site plan (no larger than 11” x 17”) showing the desired service location to be marked on the survey and signed by developer (not older than two years).
