Countywide and Special Studies
Countywide studies addressing specific issues relating to land use, public services, environmental, and related planning issues, and preparation of "functional" plans addressing such issues are conducted by the Long Range Planning Unit.
Board of County Commissioners Redistricting
Miami-Dade County is in the process of updating the Commission District boundaries to comply with applicable federal, state and local redistricting requirements. A Citizens Redistricting Advisory Board was empaneled to assist the Board of County Commissioners in drafting a redistricting plan that meets applicable federal, state and local redistricting criteria.

Agriculture and Rural Area Study
The Study Area includes all land that is: (1.) planned for Agricultural use in Miami-Dade County’s Comprehensive Development Land Use Plan; (2.) zoned AU (Agricultural Use); (3.) has an agricultural property tax exemption, or is; (4.) currently in agricultural use.
Urban Design Manual
The Urban Design Manual provides criteria to be used by designers, developers and County staff, all of whom are responsible for aspects of physical development in the County.
