Planning Research and Economic Analysis
The recurring and snapshot reports published are intended to serve Miami-Dade County departments and the Board of County Commissioners, as well as the business and development communities, university researchers and the general public.
The Planning Research and Economic Analysis section's reports are produced in support of the County's planning, economic development, finance and policy-making functions. They are intended to inform specific policymaking in response to information requests, as well as to provide the latest data and perspectives on evolving issues facing the county.
Types of reports
Labor Market Report
Analysis of labor force, employment and wage trends over time and in the context of other relevant counties and regions.
Residential and Commercial Real Estate Market Report
Analysis of the Miami-Dade County real estate market including commercial and industrial costs and vacancies, homeownership and rental affordability, and patterns of each at the sub-county level.
International Trade Report
This report takes a unique look at trade that flows exclusively through Miami-Dade County ports.
Economic Trends Report
This report takes a longer-term, higher level review of conditions in Miami-Dade County.
Miami-Dade County Profiles
This analysis provides a countywide overview of housing, income and poverty, economic and demographic conditions for Miami-Dade County residents and places them in context with other relevant geographic areas.
Commission District Profiles
This analysis provides detailed analysis of the population by Commission District in the areas of demographic, labor force, income, housing costs, housing characteristics and social and educational characteristics.
