North Central Dade Municipal Advisory Committee

In 2001, the North Central Dade Area Municipal Advisory Committee (MAC), a group of North Central Dade-area residents appointed by the Board of County Commissioners (Board), was created under the sponsorship of Commissioner Dorrin Rolle to review the concerns raised by both members of the County Commission and County staff and the manner in which those concerns may be alleviated in the event that North Central Dade is incorporated as a municipality. The group met for two years to complete its charge of assessing the fiscal feasibility and desirability of incorporating the area into its own municipality.

In 2017, the MAC sunset. In 2018, the Board of County Commission approved an Ordinance re-convening the North Central MAC, thereby allowing the MAC to complete a proposed budget and hold public hearings on incorporation feasibility.
