Waitlists Currently Open to the General Public (Phase Two)

Miami-Dade County Housing and Community Development (HCD) will open site-based waitlists for its Project-Based Voucher (PBV) program. These waitlists will cover multiple developments offering various bedroom sizes, many of which serve tenant-based voucher (Section 8) residents and populations requiring supportive services, such as the elderly, disabled individuals, and formerly homeless residents.

Waitlists Dates

Opening: Monday, June 9 at 8 a.m.
Closing: Friday, June 20 at 11:59 p.m.

In accordance with federal regulations, applicants on the 2024 Tenant-Based Waiting List who applied during the Phase One opening of the site-based waitlists will receive priority placement on the site-based waitlists. All applications completed and submitted during the Phase Two open online application submission period will have the same opportunity to automatically be entered into a computer-generated randomization process, regardless of the date or time of submittal. Submission of an application does not guarantee placement on the Project-Based Site-Based (PBV) Waitlists. Only the number of available applications listed below will be selected for placement on the respective waitlist.

- Applicants must meet the property’s designation (e.g., elderly, disabled, or family) and income qualifications.
- Preferences will apply to households meeting specific criteria, as outlined in the HCD Administrative Plan, which include, but are not limited to:
  - Households Displaced by Government Action
  - Referrals from the Miami-Dade Homeless Trust
  - Veterans
  - Eligible In-Place Residents
  - Families with a Right to Return
  - Vulnerable Populations
  - Special Needs Households
  - Mobility Impaired
  - Hearing/Sight Impaired

- Applicants already on the 2024 Tenant-Based Waiting List will be surveyed and given an opportunity to be placed in their current rank order on any site-based waitlist(s) of their choice
- Preferences claimed at the time of application will be verified during selection. Applicants unable to verify their preference will lose the preference and be repositioned on the waitlist(s) accordingly
- All applications completed and submitted during the Phase Two open online application period will have an equal opportunity to be entered into a computer-generated randomization process, regardless of the date or time of submission. The date of the randomization process will be announced at a later time
