Baynanza student design and photography contests

Join the creative competition for Miami-Dade County’s annual celebration of Biscayne Bay and its significance as one of South Florida’s most important ecological systems. Baynanza’s in-person activities in March and April will culminate when thousands of volunteers join forces at dozens of sites for Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 11, 2026. 

With support from Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, Miami-Dade County’s Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM) is offering art contests for students and amateur photographers to submit designs in these categories and age groups:

• Sticker Contest - Elementary school students
• Poster Contest - Middle school students
• T-shirt Contest - High school students
• Amateur Photography Contest - Residents of all ages

The deadline for submitting was Friday, Dec. 5. All winners will be announced at the Baynanza Kickoff at Vizcaya. For details on each contest and more information, please email [email protected].
