Celebrate Juneteenth with historical and cultural events

Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, celebrates the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. While the holiday is celebrated on Sunday, June 19, County offices and libraries will be closed Monday, June 20 in observance.
County Services
- County offices will be closed Monday
- Solid Waste Management will collect curbside garbage or trash Monday
- Miami‑Dade Libraries will be closed Monday
- Transit will operate on a normal schedule
- Regulatory & Economic Resources offices, including the Permitting and Inspection Center (The PIC) will be closed Monday, June 20
