Animal license tags are available for dogs and cats.
License tags are required for all dogs over four months of age. The dog must be registered with Miami-Dade County and wear the tag at all times.
Tags are available for cats, but they are not required. Since cats are clever enough to take off their collars, a microchip is recommended instead of a tag.
Animal Business Licenses
Anyone who conducts a business that deals with animals in Miami-Dade County must obtain their license from Animal Services. Animal Services issues four types of business licenses depending on your needs. We have a groomer, hobby breeder, pet store and kennel license.
