County offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 2 for Labor Day

Miami-Dade County offices, courts, libraries and the Pet Adoption and Protection Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
Observed every year on the first Monday in September, Labor Day recognizes the many contributions workers have made to U.S. strength, prosperity, and well-being.
County Services and Facilities:
- Solid Waste Management will be running regular garbage and recycling pick-up services.
- Transit will provide weekend service on Metrorail and Metromover, and Sunday service on Metrobus.
- Golf Miami-Dade courses will be open on Monday. Read about the safety guidelines before you visit.
- Miami-Dade Public Library System will be closed Monday, Sept. 2.
Family Activities:
- The Deering Estate will offer $5 general admission throughout the Labor Day Weekend: Saturday, Aug.31, Sunday, Sept. 1, and Monday, Sept. 2. Admission is free for active-duty military personnel and up to five family members as part of Blue Star Museums. Enjoy wildlife viewing, bay vistas, and self-guided access to the museums. Visitors can purchase tickets to the Deering Estate online.
