Mayor releases Climate Action Strategy progress report

To celebrate Earth Day in 2023, Mayor Daniella Levine Cava shared the top five strategies to save our planet and released the 2023 Climate Action Strategy Progress Report at The CLEO Institute’s inaugural 5k race to raise awareness about climate issues.
The Miami-Dade County Climate Action Strategy provides a complete framework of actions to meet the ambitious goal of cutting emissions to net zero by 2050. Under Mayor Levine Cava’s leadership, the County embraces a green economy and propels the community into a renaissance of innovation.
Actions highlighted in the progress report include improvements in the transportation and buildings sector and implementing projects that reduce the County’s water consumption and waste. The County’s official greenhouse gas inventory will be published later this year.
