International Business Development Missions
Inbound trade missions consist of reciprocal visits made by cities visited by Miami-Dade County and come as a result of an invitation made or of missions organized by foreign consulates and trade offices. The County provides coordination with local government and economic development organizations, as well as financial and logistical support.
Miami-Dade County provides financial support for organizations leading officially recognized inbound trade missions to this area.

Outbound missions consist of in-country briefings by the U.S. State Department and Commercial Service in each host country, as well as prearranged meetings with high-level government officials and local economic development agencies to acquaint them with Miami-Dade County's international trade promotion programs.
County representatives highlight Miami-Dade's world class infrastructure, multicultural composition, unique geographic location and advantages as an international trade platform and a global gateway.
The purpose of Miami-Dade's branding presentation workshop is to highlight the County's role as the "Gateway to the Americas" and a platform for international trade to government officials, economical development agencies, the trade community and the media during an inbound or outbound mission. The comprehensive presentation also includes:
- The County's assets and uniqueness with its superior infrastructure, multilingual workforce and its geographic location as a transshipment point
- Key role and functions of economic development agencies
- Analysis of trade statistics and data
