Miami-Dade Disparity Analysis Data Project The goal of the Miami-Dade Disparity Analysis is to develop a report card that provides a comparative analysis of socioeconomic conditions of African American communities and their metro area counterparts.
Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust (MDEAT) commissioned the University of Miami’s School of Education & Human Development’s Community and Educational Well-Being Research Center to analyze data and write a report examining the racial disproportionality associated with youth arrests in Miami-Dade County. Miami-Dade County’s Juvenile Services Department provided data on youth arrests. Personnel from the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice provided assistance and insights.
