Housing Assistance Programs

Miami-Dade County employees who are either looking to buy their first home or need assistance with rent or mortgage payments may be eligible to participate in the First-Time Homebuyer or Emergency Housing Assistance programs. These programs enable you to cash out your accrued annual leave, which can go toward one of a few things: a down payment, closing costs, or current or overdue rent or mortgage payments.

These programs are applicable to all Miami-Dade County employees who have been employed by the County for at least three years.
