This year, Thanksgiving takes place on Thursday, Nov. 28. Before celebrating Turkey Day with your loved ones, learn which County services will be affected, find events to celebrate the holiday and read some tips to ensure your Thanksgiving is celebrated safely.
Services
- Miami-Dade County offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29
- Transportation and Public Works will operate on a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28, and regular weekday schedule on Friday, Nov. 29. MetroLink will not provide service during County observed holidays
- Solid Waste Management will operate on a normal schedule and all disposal facilities will observe normal operating hours
- Miami-Dade Public Libraries will be closed from Thursday, Nov. 28 through Saturday, Nov. 30
