Construction Trades Qualifying Board (CTQB)

The Construction Trades Qualifying Board (CTQB) promotes the health, safety and welfare of the community by helping to ensure the competency level of local contractors. The Board screens applicants for examination in construction trade categories and reviews applications for contractor licenses.

The committee meets monthly as two separate divisions:

Division A meets to review Building and Building Specialty category contractor license applications and the Construction Trades Qualifying Board.

Division B meets to review Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing category contractor license applications. The Board Divisions, which meet separately, also consider disciplinary action against licensed contractors, in accordance with Chapter 10 of the Miami-Dade County Code.
